Concussion information

Everyone:
From the League
Parents,
Although our 2010 season is nearing the finish line it is never to late to be reminded of the seriousness of concussions and how we all can look at preventive measures and strive for player safety. A number of parents bought the concussion preventive helmets this year and we want to reemphasize they are preventive helmets and not concussion proof helmets. Concussions in our program are down from last year but one concussion is one to many and we can all do our part in making our sons aware the importance of proper tackling and let them know to communicate immediately with a Coach if they feel they may have any symptoms of a concussion. Thanks for taking the time to read this article and if you have any questions please contact your Coach or myself.
Go Walpole Football.

Bob Conrad

WYFC needs help!

The season is off to a great start and all the Walpole teams are looking strong.  We are in desperate need of some help after the 8th grade team finishes play on game day.  Between all the game field markers, the stakes, and all the new snack bar equipment there is a lot of work to be done at the end of the game.  Brian Christy is our field coordinator and would appreciate any volunteer help he can get.  We have 3 home games left.  If you could volunteer please email me at bl.conrad@comcast.net.

The dates needed are Sunday September 26th, October 3rd, and October 24th.  Brian could use 2-3 volunteers for each game.  Thanks in advance for your help.
